Jodie van de Wetering is a hyperactive word wrangler based in Rockhampton, Australia.
At any given moment she might be writing, working in journalism or marketing, doing stand up comedy, or trying to muster the shambolic assortment of artists, wise guys and anarchists that haunt the open mic she runs.
They started in a vegetarian restaurant, and these days are based in a mysterious warehouse bar with no official street address. Jodie was first published by The Doctor Who Project in her teens, for which she is forever grateful.
Since then she’s written for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, literary journals including Idiom 23 and Crab Fat, plenty more for TDWP and related projects, and on the backs of a great many envelopes.
Concurrent with the release of Grave Warnings she has a piece of short fiction included in Sproutlings, an Australian anthology of creepy tales themed around wicked plants.
